Does AI need to know what it is doing?

Most AI technology has no awareness of its own actions. Despite's Deep MInd's Alpha Go's ability to beat the best human Go players, it has no awareness that it is playing the game. It doesn't know what a human is or what a game is, yet it can play the game better than any human!

This project explores the implications of deploying AI without any "understanding" of its own capability or it impact on people.
